Hong Kong’s seafood consumption ranks second in Asia

   News from FiS on February 26 that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused damage to the seafood trade in Hong Kong, China, but in Asia, Hong Kong still plays an important role in promoting more sustainable seafood consumption.

  The per capita consumption of seafood in Hong Kong ranks second in Asia (ranked eighth in the world). As a free port and trade center in the Chinese mainland market, it has also made it a major location for changing buying habits in Greater China.
