H5N3 highly pathogenic influenza A outbreak in Denmark

Food Partner Network News According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), on February 12, 2021, the Danish Ministry of Environment and Food reported to OIE that a H5N3 highly pathogenic influenza A outbreak occurred in Denmark .

   The outbreak occurred in Sonder Bjert Town, Kolding City, which was confirmed on February 11, 2021. The source of the epidemic was exposure to wild species. Laboratory tests revealed that one Kestrel became ill and died.
  The epidemic is still continuing, and the Danish Ministry of Environment and Food will submit follow-up reports every week.
