Food Partner Network News On February 26, the Fujian Provincial Market Supervision Administration released the seventh phase of 2021 food safety supervision and sampling information. The supervision and sampling information announced in this issue involves 30 batches of 3 categories of food. Including:catering food (including tableware), edible agricultural products, other food (local specialty food), 30 batches of unqualified.

  19 batches of unqualified catering food (including tableware)
   19 batches of catering food (including tableware) were unqualified. Among them, 7 batches of tableware were found to have microbes and other pollution problems. They were soup bowls in Ziqi restaurant in Gulou District, Fuzhou City (disinfection date is 2020 November 27), the rice bowl at the side snack bar in Cangshan District, Fuzhou City (disinfection date is December 9, 2020), unqualified coliforms, anionic synthetic detergent (calculated by sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate) Unqualified; bowls of Ziqi restaurant in Gulou District, Fuzhou City (disinfection date is November 27, 2020), stainless steel bowls of Sifang Table Restaurant in Cangshan District, Fuzhou City (disinfection date December 10, 2020), Fuzhou warehouse The rice bowl of the red pepper restaurant in the mountain area (disinfection date is December 10, 2020), the anionic synthetic detergent (calculated as sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate) is unqualified; Minhou County Shangjie Laozhong Grilled Fish Restaurant The water cup (disinfection date is December 22, 2020), the spoon of the seabed temptation restaurant in Shangjie, Minhou County (disinfection date is December 21, 2020), the coliforms are unqualified.
   Coliform is one of the commonly used indicator bacteria for food contamination at home and abroad. The”National Food Safety Standard Sterilized Meal (Drinking) Utensils” (GB 14934-2016) stipulates that coliforms in sterilized meal (drinking) utensils shall not be detected. Unqualified coliforms in tableware (drinks) may be caused by dishwashing, incomplete sterilization, or contamination during storage.
  The main active ingredient of anionic synthetic detergent is sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, which is a low-toxic chemical substance. The”National Food Safety Standard Sterilized Meal (Drinking) Utensils” (GB 14934-2016) stipulates that the anionic synthetic detergent (calculated as sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate) in sterilized table (drinking) utensils shall not be detected. The reason for the excessive anionic synthetic detergent in the disinfection of tableware (drinks) may be that the detergent used to wash the dishes does not meet the standard; it may also be that the detergent or disinfectant is not thoroughly rinsed.
   Six batches of food and beverages were found to be polluted by heavy metals. They were portun crabs sold at the seafood restaurant at Pier No. 1 in Xiapu County (purchase date:November 18, 2020), and sold by Fujian Pingtan Jinyong Yage Hotel Co., Ltd. Flower crabs (purchase date is October 14, 2020), Zheng crabs sold at Haiyu Seafood Restaurant in Hangcheng, Changle District, Fuzhou (purchase date is November 3, 2020), Tigers sold at Likoufu Hotel, Fuan City Crabs (purchase date is November 7, 2020), portun crabs sold by Fujian Funing Food City Catering Service Co., Ltd. (purchase date is November 17, 2020), crabs sold at restaurants in Yuwei Port, Fengze District (Purchase date is November 18, 2020), cadmium (calculated as Cd) is not qualified.
  Cadmium (calculated as Cd) is one of the most common heavy metal pollutants. The”National Food Safety Standard Limits of Contaminants in Foods” (GB 2762-2017) stipulates that cadmium (calculated as Cd) in fresh and frozen aquatic animal crustaceans is limited to 0.5 mg/kg; in fresh and frozen aquatic animals ( The maximum limit value for bivalves, gastropods, cephalopods, echinoderms) is 2.0 mg/kg. Excessive cadmium may be due to the accumulation of cadmium in the environment during aquaculture.
   Three batches of veterinary drug residues have been detected in catering food. They are oysters sold at Yubo Restaurant in Cangshan District, Fuzhou City (purchase date is November 3, 2020). Quanzhou Kaiyuan Shengshi Catering Co., Ltd. sells oysters. Oil clams (purchase date is November 17, 2020), chloramphenicol is unqualified; small gentian fish sold by Zhangzhou Linjiahai Zhongxian Catering Management Co., Ltd. (purchase date is November 16, 2020), furazolidone The metabolites are unqualified.
  Chloramphenicol is a kind of bactericide and a high-efficiency broad-spectrum antibiotic. It has a good inhibitory effect on both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The”List of Drugs and Other Compounds Prohibited in Food Animals” (Announcement No. 250 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs) stipulates that chloramphenicol is a drug that is prohibited from use in food animals. The reason for the detection of chloramphenicol may be the illegal use of farmers in the breeding process.
   Nitrofurazone and Furazolidone are nitrofuran broad-spectrum antibiotics, which have been widely used in livestock, poultry and aquaculture industries. The”List of Drugs and Other Compounds Prohibited in Food Animals” (Announcement No. 250 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs) stipulates that nitrofurazone and furazolidone are drugs that are forbidden to be used in food animals and must not be detected in animal food.
   In addition, there are three batches of food additives detected in catering foods. They are the fried dough sticks sold at Licheng Tiantian Restaurant in Xianyou County (processing date is November 29, 2020), and the residual amount of aluminum (dry Samples, calculated as Al) unqualified; brown sugar steamed buns sold at Xingcai Baozi Store in Licheng District, Putian City (processing date is December 2, 2020), and black rice steamed buns sold at Fan Fangyan Wangbi Baozi Store in Yanping District (processing date:2020 November 18), saccharin sodium (calculated as saccharin) failed.
  ”National Food Safety Standard Food Additives Use Standard” (GB 2760-2014) stipulates that potassium aluminum sulfate and ammonium aluminum sulfate can be used as leavening agents and stabilizers for fried noodle products. Eating more sodium saccharin will affect the normal secretion of gastrointestinal digestive enzymes, reduce the absorption capacity of the small intestine, and reduce appetite. The reason for the unqualified saccharin sodium may be that the company used sweeteners beyond the scope to increase the sweetness of the products.
  9 batches of unqualified edible agricultural products

  Procymidone is a low-toxic systemic fungicide with dual functions of protection and treatment. It is mainly used for the prevention and treatment of gray mold, sclerotinia, and brown rot in fruit trees and vegetable crops. According to the National Food Safety Standard Maximum Residue Limit of Pesticides in Food (GB 2763-2019), the maximum residue limit of procymidone in chives is 0.2mg/kg. The reason why the procymidone in leeks exceeds the standard may be that vegetable farmers do not understand the safe interval for using pesticides, and thus use or abuse pesticides in violation of regulations. Procymidone is irritating to eyes and skin, and has low oral toxicity. Long-term consumption of foods that exceed the standard of procymidone will have a certain impact on human health.
   Clenbuterol is a β-adrenergic receptor agonist, used as a feed additive for animal husbandry production, it has obvious effects on promoting growth, improving lean meat and reducing fat. The”List of Non-edible Substances and Food Additives Easily Abusively Added in Foods (Fourth Batch)” (Reorganization Office [2010] No. 50) stipulates that β-stimulant drugs (clenbuterol hydrochloride (skinny) Meat essence), ractopamine, etc.) are non-edible substances added illegally to foods, and cannot be detected in animal foods. Long-term consumption of foods with Clenbuterol detected may cause poisoning, induce arrhythmia, and cause palpitations, dizziness, fatigue and other symptoms, and cause harm to human health.

   In addition to the above-mentioned unqualified products, there are also 2 batches of other foods (local specialty foods) that are unqualified.    Sulfur dioxide is a food additive allowed to be used at home and abroad. It is usually added to food in the form of potassium metabisulfite, sodium metabisulfite, sodium sulfite, sodium bisulfite, sodium hyposulfite and other sulfites, or sulfur The method of fumigation is used in food processing and has the effects of bleaching, anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation. After sulfur dioxide enters the human body, it is finally converted into sulfate and excreted in the urine. A small amount of intake will not cause health hazards to the body, but excessive consumption may cause gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea and vomiting.
