Coca-Cola intends to sell its bottled business in South Africa worth R10 billion

   According to a report on the South African Business Technology website on February 5, the Coca-Cola Company plans to sell about 30%of its South African bottling business to local non-white investors for a transaction value of about 10 billion rand (US$669 million). It is reported that the entire business is worth about 45 billion rand, and the transaction will benefit company employees, other partners and non-white investors. Coca-Cola’s African beverage business is headquartered in Port Elizabeth, serving 12 countries including Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana and other countries, accounting for 40%of Coca-Cola’s beverage sales on the African continent.
