Ukraine’s agroportal website reported on January 4, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Agriculture and Trade Representative Kachka wrote on Facebook that the total export of Ukrainian agricultural raw materials in 2020 reached 18.61 billion US dollars, an increase of 170 million US dollars over last year. Grain exports are mainly corn, wheat and barley, with exports reaching 9.42 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 2.29%. Due to the lack of receipts, exports have decreased, but the increase in prices can offset the decrease in exports. Exports of oil crops, rapeseed and soybeans reached US$1.85 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 28%. The export of fats and oils was mainly sunflower oil, with an export value of US$5.77 billion, a year-on-year increase of 21.65%; the export of food industry residues (meal) reached US$1.58 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6%.
Generally speaking, the total export volume of products in 2020 will reach 1.33 trillion hryvnia in domestic currency, an increase of 2.84%year-on-year; in US dollars, it will reach US$49.32 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%.
