Two foot-and-mouth disease outbreaks in Israel

  Food Partner Network News According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), on January 5, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel reported to OIE that there were two outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease in Israel.

   Both outbreaks occurred in Acre, the northern district, and were confirmed on January 4, 2021. The source of the epidemic is uncertain and may be related to exposure to wild species. According to clinical and laboratory tests, the specific incidence is as follows:
