Russian Agricultural Investor Network reported on December 29 that Russia’s SovEkon Analysis Center lowered its forecast for Russian wheat exports in the 2020/21 agricultural year by 4.5 million tons to 36.3 million tons. Analysts said that most producers postponed sales until after July 2021 in the context of imposing agricultural export tariffs, hoping that wheat prices will rise rapidly after the abolition of control measures.
