Romania’s household alcohol consumption spending increases first in the EU

  Digi24 TV reported that Eurostat released data that in the past ten years, Romanian households’ alcohol consumption expenditure has increased the most in the EU, and its share of GDP has increased from 2.1%to 2.6%. In 2019, EU households spent 117 billion euros on”alcoholic beverages” (equivalent to 0.8%of EU GDP), accounting for 1.6%of total consumption expenditure.
