Peru’s fish catches in November last year increased by 2.6%year-on-year

According to news from FiS on January 4, data from the Peruvian Ministry of Production showed that Peru’s total catch of 812,800 tons in November last year was the second peak in the past 12 months, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, of which DHC (direct human consumption) catches A year-on-year increase of 14.2%, and anchovy catches for non-human consumption increased by 1.2%year-on-year.

   Among the DHC catches, mackerel catches surged 508.7%year-on-year, bamboo fish catches increased 109.2%year-on-year, scallop catches increased by 81%year-on-year, and squid catches increased by 47.8%year-on-year.
  The Ministry of Production emphasized that in November, DHC caught 710,100 tons. On November 12, anchovy fishing operations in the central and northern regions started, and a large number of anchovies landed in various ports.
