Since 1997, the United States has been the largest export market for Mexican products. In 2018, Americans consumed 8 pounds of avocado per capita, a significant increase from 3.5 pounds in 2008.
In addition, according to statistics from the Inter-American Development Bank, Mexico’s total foreign product exports in 2020 will decrease by 13%year-on-year, and the total value will decrease by 14.4%.
