It is worth noting that the new pesticide and veterinary drug residue standards will be officially implemented in 2020. From February 15, 2020,”GB 2763-2019 National Food Safety Standard Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Foods< /a>“Formally implemented. Starting from April 1, 2020, the GB 31650-2019”National Food Safety Standard Maximum Residue Limits of Veterinary Drugs in Food” was officially implemented.
GB2763-2019 covers 7107 limit standards for 11 categories of agricultural products. Compared with the 2016 version, it has increased the maximum residue limits of 2967 pesticides. It has revised the 28 pesticides with the largest pesticides in wheat and Daisenlian in pepper. Residue limits, and stipulated 703 maximum residue limits for 109 pesticides in 27 kinds of animal-derived agricultural products consumed daily by residents, including meat, eggs, and milk.
GB 31650-2019 stipulates the 2191 residue limits and use requirements of 267 kinds (classes) of veterinary drugs in livestock and poultry products, aquatic products, and bee products, which basically cover the common veterinary drugs and main food animals and organizations in China. The construction of my country’s veterinary drug residue standard system has entered a new stage. GB31650 includes veterinary drugs that have been approved for maximum residue limits in animal foods; veterinary drugs that are allowed to be used in food animals but do not require a residue limit; veterinary drugs that are allowed for therapeutic use but must not be detected in animal foods. The drugs prohibited in the Announcement No. 235 of the former Ministry of Agriculture, that is, the list of drugs that cannot be detected in animal foods, will be separately released in the form of the announcement of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (Announcement No. 250).
Food Partner Network hereby reminds relevant production companies to carefully study the changes of the old and new standards, optimize the production and processing process according to the new standards in time, adjust the enterprise quality control system, and provide relevant training for personnel to ensure that the product quality meets the country standard. Imported food companies shall promptly convey the new requirements of our country’s standards to foreign trading parties, urge foreign manufacturers to strengthen product quality and safety control, and try to curb imports of unqualified products from the source; fully understand the changes in relevant standards and the specific implementation period, and update product testing requirements in a timely manner , To ensure that products meet the mandatory requirements of my country’s national standards; pay close attention to domestic and foreign food risk warning information, strengthen communication and coordination with local entry-exit inspection and quarantine departments, and reduce the risk of unqualified imported products.
