On December 24, 2020, the Songpan County Market Supervision Bureau worked closely with the public security organs to investigate a suspected case of unlicensed production of fake meat products. After investigation, the party involved in meat product packaging and processing without obtaining a food production and operation license or filing, and selling air-dried pork and duck as air-dried yak meat for profit. After investigation, the amount of production and sales was verified. Up to 72,0681.6 yuan, 8,000 kg of meat products that have not been sold (the value of more than 900,000 yuan) was seized.
The case is that the market supervision department of Aba Prefecture earnestly implemented the province’s”Spring Thunder Action 2021″ and the deployment of special law enforcement actions for the prevention and control of cold chain logistics epidemics, and carried out the optional action of”Spring Thunder Action 2021″ in combination with the actual situation in the whole state,”Regulating tourism During the “Market False Propaganda Law Enforcement Action” and the “Law Enforcement Action Against Counterfeit and Substandard Food in Rural Areas”, the food violation cases involving the largest amount of money and the widest impact were the most important cases of implementing the “convergence of execution” working mechanism and cracking down on food safety violations and crimes. It has greatly deterred the illegal production and sales of counterfeit yak meat and its products, effectively purified the tourism market environment, and effectively maintained Aba’s good tourism image.
Because the involved parties produced and sold a huge amount of fake meat products, they were suspected of committing a crime. The case has been transferred to the public security organ for investigation. The suspected illegal act of producing and selling food without a license is still under further investigation and verification.
