Highly pathogenic bird flu outbreaks in India

  Food Partner Network News According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), on January 9, 2021, the Ministry of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy of India reported to OIE that there were 5 cases of H5N8 in India Highly pathogenic avian influenza epidemic.
   The outbreak was confirmed on January 4, 2021. Four of the outbreaks occurred in Alappuzha County, Kerala and one occurred in Kottayam County, Kerala. The source of the epidemic is unknown or uncertain. According to clinical and laboratory tests, the specific incidence is as follows:
