Croatia’s agricultural and food exports in the first September of 2020 increase by 5%year-on-year

In the first September of 2020, Croatia’s agricultural and food exports amounted to 1.7 billion euros, compared with the same period in 2019 An increase of 5%; imports of 2.5 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 7.3%. The deficit was 758.8 million euros, a decrease of 26.6%year-on-year. The EU market accounts for 65.83%of Croatia’s exports and 86.16%of imports. Among them, the European Free Trade Agreement countries accounted for 24.65%of Croatia’s exports and 7.83%of imports, ranking second. In the first nine months of 2020, the largest exporter of Croatian agricultural products and food was Italy, accounting for 17.76%of exports, an increase of 21.9%year-on-year. Germany is one of Croatia’s most important trading partners. Since 2013, Germany has been the country’s largest importer and ranked among the top five exporting countries in the past four years.
