Announcement of the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration on the Results of Food Safety Supervision and Sampling Inspection in 2020 (No. 10 of 2021)

   In 2020, the market supervision departments at all levels in Guangdong Province completed a total of 664,900 batches of food safety supervision and sampling, and 14,931 batches of unqualified batches. The overall unqualified detection rate was 2.25%, an increase of 0.2%over the same period in 2019. Among them, the unqualified rates of sampling inspection of dairy products, egg products, processed food products, meat products, edible agricultural products and edible oils, fats and their products with large consumption are 0.15%, 0.82%, 1.20%, 1.27%, and 2.23%, respectively , 2.85%.    From the point of view of unqualified items, the main problems found are pesticide and veterinary drug residues and microbial contamination, accounting for 30.72%and 23.21%of the total number of unqualified. The ratio of substandard quality indicators to the total number of unqualified problems is 11.14%, the ratio of food additives that exceed the scope and limit is 11.09%of the total number of unqualified problems, and the ratio of labelling problems to the total number of unqualified is 11.04%. Heavy metals and other pollutants The ratio of problems to the total number of failures was 9.98%.
