Announcement of the Fujian Provincial Administration of Market Supervision on the Analysis of the Data Analysis of the Provincial Bureau’s Level of Food Safety Supervision in 2020

   In 2020, the Fujian Provincial Market Supervision Bureau completed the supervision and sampling of 26,997 batches of samples of 33 categories of food, including 26,495 batches of qualified samples and 482 batches of unqualified samples, with an overall pass rate of 98.2%. Among them, the pass rates of processed food products, meat products, cakes and other bulk foods were 100.0%, 99.4%, and 98.8%, which were all higher than the overall pass rates.    Since the beginning of this year, the main problems found in the province’s supervision and sampling inspections are as follows:First, excessive pesticide and veterinary drug residues in food accounted for 31.6%of the total unqualified; second, heavy metals in food Pollution issues accounted for 21.2%of the total number of unqualified; third, food microbial contamination accounted for 16.3%of the total number of unqualified issues; fourth, the use of food additives beyond the scope and limit accounted for 11.0%of the total number of unqualified issues; fifth, the quality index in the food was not up to standard Problems accounted for 9.6%of the total number of unqualified.

   Regarding unqualified food and its production and operation enterprises found in the supervision and random inspection, the local market supervision and management departments have urged the enterprises to stop sales, remove the shelves, recall, and announce Measures to control food safety risks, and to investigate and deal with violations of laws and regulations.
