3 highly pathogenic influenza A outbreaks occurred in Lithuania

  Food Partner Network News According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), on January 8, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture of Lithuania notified OIE that three highly pathogenic influenza A outbreaks occurred in Lithuania.

   The outbreak was confirmed on January 8, 2021, two of which occurred in Klaipeda County and one occurred in Kaunas County. The source of the epidemic is unknown or uncertain. Laboratory tests revealed that a total of 4 mute swans were sick and died.
  The epidemic is not over yet, and the Ministry of Agriculture of Lithuania will submit a follow-up report every week.
